Each Steiff bear is signified by a "Tag" in its left ear, and each of these tags has a meaning. A Yellow Tag - identifies the bears which are produced in unlimited numbers. A White & Black Tag - identifies a limited edition bear which is a replica of one originally produced by Steiff many years ago.A White & Red Tag - identifies a limited edition bear which will be produced as a special for the current year, or to commemorate an occasion.
