The Little Ray Of Sunshine has been inspired by an unusual stone built gazebo-style summer house in the gardens of Belvoir Castle, Melton, the magnificent ancesteral home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland. Interestingly, Belvoir (a French word meaning 'beautiful view') is pronounced 'Beaver', allegedly because the local Anglo Saxon inhabitants struggled to pronounce the French word in Norman times.
