Retention Time

Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for.

Therefore:

·         Personal Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the Owner and the User shall be retained until such contract has been fully performed.

·         Personal Data collected for the purposes of the Owner’s legitimate interests shall be retained as long as needed to fulfill such purposes.

·         The Owner may be allowed to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever the User has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn.  What information do we collect about you?

 Information is collected from you when you register with us, order goods from us, sign up to receive updates or when you participate in competitions & surveys. This may include name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.

We may collect non-personal identification information about users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service provider’s utilised and other similar information.

Sensitive and private data is sent over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted.

Credit / Debit card details are processed through payment gateway providers Sagepay or Paypal. Both sites are well established online payment providers. As with all our third party associates they have their own privacy policy.

At no point do the owners, management or staff of The Present Shop (Kirkcaldy) Ltd, have access to your credit/debit card details nor do we store credit/debit card details in any form. To this end we no longer accept telephone orders or payment over the telephone.

How will we use the information about you?

Information is collected about you to enable us to process any orders you make, manage your online account with us and where permitted, email you with relevant product offers and promotions.

When processing your order, we may send your details to and use information from, credit reference and fraud prevention agencies. We also send your name, shipping address and contact telephone number and in some cases email address to third party delivery companies for the purpose of delivering your goods.
