Tinker Bell the fairy first appeared as a character in J. M. Barrie's 1904 play Peter Pan. Tinker Bell joined the growing list of Disney characters when she appeared in the Walt Disney animated version of Peter Pan in 1953. She quickly established herself as one of Walt Disney's major characters appearing in her own movies, television series and is seen flying over the Disney Logo that introduces most of the Disney film and television output. She remains one of the most popular collectible characters in our Disney collections.
